Hugos

The Hugo shortlist came out a few days ago, and John is on it again for his work on Journey Planet! There are some other great entries across the categories, a few not great ones imo, several I feel are miscategorized, plus some categories I don’t really bother with. In short, its your usual ballot. I managed to read or see an higher percentage than usual of what ended up on there, ironic in a year that is likely to have a longer than normal voting period. Currently rooting for Piranesi in Novel and Palm Springs in BDP, and was especially happy to see Simon Jimenez up for the Astounding, Vanished Birds was wonderful. But there is much reading to be done, we’ll see what other treasures are up there.
