One Wednesday I had lunch at the new Spanish tapas place in Grainger market, after getting a roscón from their shop, it has a limited but solid menu and they plan to open in the mornings to do churros, so I’m looking forward to that. Xmas at the Coxon’s
Back from the Coxon family home, where we had a relatively small but still very nice Christmas. We played Sushi Go, got some quality time with Alfie the cat, who is getting cuddly in his old age, and we watched Coco in between the various Xmas meals. There was a Nuñez Zoom, or actually a Whereby, which was quite animated, and George & Kathryn came by for presents and dinner. Coxon Christmas
We headed up to Peterborough on Monday, everything went nice and smoothly and the trains were not too busy so we got there in time for dinner. This year was a lower key Coxon Christmas, mainly John’s parents, his aunts, and us two – with guest appearances by George and Kathryn, and by his grandmother on Christmas day. We were also only there through the end of the week, so no panto this year. Once again John and I headed up to Casa Coxon in Peterborough to spend the holidays with his parents. It was a smaller affair this year, his grandfather wasn’t able to come down from Halifax and of his brothers only George was about – but it was still nice, with good food and good company. December flew by, as it does. We went to the midnight screening of The Last Jedi, which I actually enjoyed more than John! Although he has since watched it twice more and surpassed me, as is right and proper. And then it was off to Peterborough for Christmas at the Coxon’s. Mince pies, roast dinners, boardgames, and of course the pantomime.
