I’ll be recusing from the Hugos in the fan artist category this year, it’s unlikely we will be going to Montréal or Brisbane, so seems like a good time to take a little break.

LINE ART
Black and white line art is probably what I enjoy the most, I do a lot of other things but always come back to it. It’s also perfect for fanzine illos.

Fans
A few years ago I started painting folding fans, I’ve had a nice time doing it but as fun as they are, the economics aren’t there – they take too long to justify the prices they bring, you can’t make prints of them, and sourcing them from Spain is a bit of a pain at the moment.
I might do the ocassional one as pure fan art, and if you have your heart set on getting one, by all means let me know and I’ll be happy to do a comission, but they won’t be showing up in art shows once my current stock is sold.
