The good news is that although the parcel with my art arrived late, Spike and Tom arranged to have Ian Stockdale collect it and bring it down to Seattle! Having generous and resourceful friends is the best part of fandom, truly. So I have six fans hanging in the art show and handful of prints in the print shop, not my best showing every but it is nice to have a presence. And I did get a photo of the Rotsel display, which now includes my panel, so there’s that too!
Meanwhile in virtual… I went through the guide book and found about three dozen items of some interest between panels, readings, and performances.
There was only one at a normal-ish time for me yesterday, but the Portal went down! They fixed it pretty quickly, but not in time for the panel, sadly. Today I’ve ticked off a couple fo readings, multiple panels, the future bids session, and then three items that are after 2am my time, so pretty much purely aspirational.
Is this WorldCon doing online catch-up? Will you be able to watch the stuff you missed/outwith a sensible time later?
Yeah, some of the items (presumably all or most of the virtual ones) will have replay – I’m counting on that for some of the conflicts/very late night stuff. I get the impression the technical issue yesterday probably means not those ones, alas. Still, these things happen.
